Whipped Peppermint Cream Hand Scrub!

Sugar Scrub The cold months are always hard on my skin. I tend to get really dry and in desperate need of moisture! I LOVE a festive smelling hand scrub. I keep one next to my sink throughout the year and will use it a few times each week to keep my hands extra soft and smelling delicious.

Today I have an amazing sugar hand scrub for you…it smells divine! Bonus, this DIY is incredibly easy and takes no time. The perfect gift to whip up for your friends! See what I did there?! 😉

Sugar ScrubSupplies:
coconut oil
-sugar
-red food dye
-moisturizing oil (I used argan oil)
peppermint essential oil
vanilla essential oil
-mixer
small jars
mini spoons

Sugar Scrub Step One: Pour 1/4 cup of sugar into a small bowl. Add one drop of red food dye and mix to create a red/pink look to your sugar. Set aside.

Step Two: Using a hand mixer or a mixing bowl, add one cup of coconut oil and 3/4 cup of sugar. Make sure your coconut oil isn’t too melted before using, you’ll want it to be firm. Turn on your mixer and whip until stiff peaks form.

Step Three: Add in 1 tablespoon of oil, you can use argan, vitamin E…whichever you prefer. This helps make it extra moisturizing. Also add in your essential oils at this point. I added 10 drops of peppermint and 3 drops of vanilla. Blend everything together.

Sugar Scrub Sugar Scrub Step Four: After everything is whipped up, slowly fold in your pink sugar.

Step Five: Scoop your hand scrub into small jars. This amount filled an 8oz jar to the brim with a little extra left over. I suggest using 2oz or 4oz jars to give out to your friends! Warning, you might want to eat it! I love that it has a delightful peppermint and coconut scent to it…so yummy!

Sugar Scrub Sugar Scrub Add a beautiful ribbon and a pretty porcelain spoon to make it extra fancy and ready for gift giving. Since there aren’t any preservatives in our hand scrub, it will only last about 6 months. Using the spoon to scoop out the scrub will help keep it sanitary!

Enjoy and keep warm! Lots of love, Sav.
