White Flower Crown DIY

Flower crown DIY! (click through for tutorial) If you’re looking for a fun way to make your holiday dinner party a bit more festive, a flower crown may be just what you need! We like to throw in an extra special touch for our annual Friendsgiving gathering, and since we did wearable eucalyptus wreaths last year, we thought that an all white flower crown would be clean and classy for this year’s event. Since there’s usually a lot of cooking going on the day-of for such a big event, doing faux flower crowns this year meant they could be done ahead of time and wouldn’t wilt a bit on the big day!

Supplies:
-several bunches of faux flowers in different sizes (you’ll need 7 flowers per crown)
floral wire
white floral tape
wire cutters
-ribbon
-hot glue gun

Wrap the wire around 2-3 times to give it a thicker base, trim the wire with wire cutters, and then wrap the wire with floral tape to keep the wires together.

Attach one at a time by wrapping the stem to the wire base (place the flower head side of each flower closest to the middle flower with the stems going out) and then angling the head of each flower forward.

Doing faux flower crowns also means that your guests can take their crowns home with them, or you can save them for another future bash if you like. There’s something extra fun about getting to wear a pretty crown at a party. Hope you decide to make one for your next gathering! xo. Laura
