hi there! now that my new shop is open i'm looking forward to spending more time painting, sewing and making DIY projects. This tutorial is a cute new art journal to get you though the chilly winter months. snuggle up with some apple cider and start journaling….. enjoy!
Supplies: You'll need a pretty new journal, some magazines or old books to cut (I used a vintage Better Homes and Gardens), photos, scissors and adhesive.
I used a Recycled Art Journal by Corey Marie from the RV shop. I love the vintage book covers she chose!
The inside pages are my favorite for art journaling because they are a collection of pretty vintage papers… all recycled.♥
ps. if you like art journals, be sure to check out my Photo Journals E-Course.

Ahh! It looks so awesome! So excited to see your pages!
this totally reminded me that i signed up for your class and haven’t done any of the projects yet!
Cute!! I’ve fallen out of the habit of art journaling since the ‘Tell Your Story’ class ended. This post is inspiring me to give it another go. I love the idea of carrying a journal and jotting down inspiration as it comes – that sounds perfect for the speed of my life right now!
love it! Corey Marie rules! and little Larsons are going to treasure these one day<3
I got to see this in person today 🙂 Lovely meeting you. Your shop is an inspiration. I’ll definitely be stopping by more now that I know you are in Springtown.
I’ve never kept a *real* journal (my blog doesn’t count, does it?) but…this makes me want to keep one! I’m very much a VISUAL person, so an art journal might be right up my alley!
Loving that Doris Day pic! I need to start snatching up vintage mags for projects like this. Adorable AND Earth friendly!
Glad you’re going to have some time to make stuff (besides displays!). Love your journal, what a great idea for the long winter!

I. Love. Art. Journalling…(JournaLing? … why don’t I know how to spell that?)
What was that class again?? 🙂
I love the journal – what a great idea and a less intimidating way to work on collage techniques. I should start one this fall – perfect for the season.
ADORABLE!!

This is such a wonderful idea!! I like it more than just plain ol’ scrap-booking because it’s less daunting and doesn’t feel like a project that needs to be completed as soon as you start!
that is awful. And I used to do these things when I am young, but definitely not that beautiful. You are really a magic.
This has inspired me to go out and create my own scrapbook! Yours looks beautiful 🙂
Eternally yours,
Stephanie
Cute idea! Thanks for the tutorial. <3
Thank you so much for sharing! This is giving me some great ideas for Christmas gifts. I think my mom would love a scrapbook of our memories since I just moved away from home.
This is lovely! I used to do that in high school, but haven’t had time to since. Should start one again 🙂
