10 Things I Love Sunday

Oh man, I was out for the count for several days last week due to a stomach flu sort of thing, but I’m sure by the time you read this I’ll be fully back to health! Nothing like a virus to make you appreciate the days you don’t feel sick and the sun always seems brighter and the birds sound chirpier (is that a word?) once you are back on your feet, am I right?? Here’s what else I’m loving this week …

1. I immediately got this pillowcase after reading Keely’s amazing post on skin and sleep routines—I’ve never had a silk pillowcase before, but I love it!

2. Lola’s little heart romper she wore on Valentine’s Day! Definitely something she can wear for the rest of spring as well.

3. After hearing recommendations for this natural self-tanner from several people on our ABM team, I decided to try it and it’s totally lifting my winter mood! It’s a gradual tanner that goes on like an untinted moisturizer, so I can do it in a snap and I could already notice a difference in just two days. Usually self-tanners scare me but since this one is a gradual process (and looks very natural on light/pale skin), it’s totally won me over.

4. Finally found my favorite sunnies in a kid version for Lola! She looks sooo cute in them.

5. Used this pattern to make my first plush bear for Lola and when I gave it to her she hugged it so tight and kept hugging it for the rest of dinner. Heart melting for sure!

6. I finally started watching the show Parenthood, and while I know I’m almost a decade behind the times on that one, I remember all my friends telling me I had to watch it when it was on, so I figured better late than never! I’m almost done with the first season and I’ll fully admit that it is a pretty great show and everyone was right!

7. Already shopping outdoor planters for the upcoming season. We have a lot of dead plants in the house too, so I can’t wait to replace them all with some new life soon!

8. All the heart eyes for this rug.

9. I’ve been wanting to for a few months and we recently made Korean seaweed soup, and it was so good! We served it over rice and even Lola gobbled it all up and wanted seconds. I’ve also been told this soup is great for milk production in new moms, so once we get to second kid territory, I think I’ll try it next time!

10. This romper for spring!

I know it’s only the end of February, but I want to start planning out my spring garden soon since I got a little bit of a late start last spring. I can’t wait to get out there and plant some new babies soon! xo. Laura
