At Home with Beth Jones in Tustin, California

Today, we’re excited to welcome Beth Jones to the blog to share her lovely home with us! Her vibe is light, airy, and super cozy.

“My husband and I moved into this home 3 1/2 years ago. We had been on the hunt for homes for a while, but when I saw this place I knew we had to make it happen. The open fireplace is what originally caught my eye on the real estate website, and when we walked in, I fell in love with the mid-century design. It is so light and bright and I love all the little living spaces that are designed into an overall small house … 1,560 square feet!“Basically, everything in my home was found at a thrift store, flea market or on Craigslist. For the most part, everything has a story. One of my favorites is the Picasso wall hanging in our little eating area off the kitchen. I found it at an antique store and it was actually supposed to be a curtain, but there was only one. I bought it and and had it put on a pole to hang as a mural. I love the design and bright colors. “I actually love a lot of the spaces for different reasons, but the living room is probably my favorite. I love the high ceilings and all the furniture was found on Craigslist or a flea market. Everything came together so easily and perfect for this room. Two outdoor spaces are connected to the living room, the atrium and the deck. When the doors are open and we have friends over, it becomes the perfect party room to flow in and out of.

“I also love the succulent paintings that hang above our dining room table. My husband and I went to Cambria for our anniversary one year and found the set in an antique store. We loved them and every time I see them, I think of that special trip. We’ve lived in this home for 3 1/2 years and I pretty much got all the rooms designed in the first few months. Things change here and there, but not too much.

“The outside is our current project! My husband built and designed a fence and I chose a fun yellow door to make it pop. We have a lot of renovation projects we would like to do in the future, but for now we are comfortable and really happy with our home as it is!”

Thanks for sharing your space with us, Beth! You can find more of Beth on her Youtube Channel and Instagram. xo!

  • The best vintage aesthetics feel like you’ve walked into the most amazingly curated antique booth. She has accomplished this flawlessly and is very honest to her home decor interests.

    Beautiful space and article!

  • I’ve been obsessed with Beth Jones’ youtube channel recently and I’m so happy to see her house on here. I love the half painted walls and how rich everything feels.

  • Ah! I’ve been watching B. Jones for quite some time now. I love it when some of my faves come together in one place 🙂 Awesome house! Awesome style! Made me happy to see this on here today.

  • Not sure where I initially found B Jones but I LOVE her style, her house, her videos, everything! So chic but not fussy. She seems so cool!

  • I’m not sure I’d call it light and airy…I think her home is very warm and earthy with lots of dusty reds, tawny browns, and living greenery. I definitely agree with cozy though, and the place looks so inviting and restful.

My favorite spot has to be the patio area though. That looks like a place where old friends gather until the early hours of morning and just catch up on life. I love that she is unafraid to hang the white/beige textile on the wall and let it weather naturally.

    • Totally agree! The whole time I was reading, I was thinking “This isn’t light and airy…” haha!

  • I’m in love with her style! It’s so fresh, and beautiful, while still being inviting and comfortable. It’s perfect for day to day life or entertaining. That patio area is where I would be spending all my summer evenings!

  • Woohooooo! Orange County! I’m an OC resident too. I love your home. Things are so expensive in this area, I love that you were able to get thrifty in order to find nice pieces.

  • I kind of agree with Laura. I can’t call it light and airy. It’s definitely earthly, cozy, and with a maximalist styling attitude! It’s made with love and it’s meant for living in with no regrets or second thoughts…and I like that!

  • Beth, I have loved your style for ages now, it seems, and I’m so happy to see you here on A Beautiful Mess! Your home is a dream!

  • I really like the house, what great style. This “At Home With” feature is such a treat. One thing that I’m personally working on is not having as many tee pees in my life – I bought some tee pee holiday cards and then learned that some people feel like it is cultural appropriation to use those images if a person isn’t Native American. Maybe something to think about for future photo shoots?

    • Just FYI- these are not our photo shoots, “At Home With” is a feature about real people’s homes. We don’t curate them in any way, other than a simple “yes” or “no” of if we will feature them.
