Pillows/Live Sweet Shop
So pumped about this home tour! When we received Lindsey’s submission, we were completely smitten with her bright, pastel decor (that mint kitchen!) and all of her adorable pets. She has two dogs, two cats, a rabbit, tortoise, two pigs, and two goats — yes!!!
“We have lived in our home just over two years now. We built our house on the lake and land I grew up on in a small town in Northeastern PA. We live next door to my parents, which is so wonderful for the kids, and we spend lots of our time playing in the woods and down by the water with all of our fuzzy critters!
Lots of our items are vintage and found at flea markets and thrift stores. I also do a lot of shopping at Home Goods for fun eclectic pieces. Lots of my favorite pillows come from our shop Live Sweet Shop, and I’m always hunting on Etsy for other handmade goods.
I have several different favorite spots in the house, but I think my most favorite would have to be our living room and kitchen area because that is where we spend the most time together as a family. My husband loves to cook and I love to bake, so one or the other of us is almost always in the kitchen while the other is playing with the kids in the living room.
Even though we’ve only lived in our home for two years, there’s a part of me that feels like we’ve been here forever. Since we designed and built the house and got to have a hand in each little piece, it immediately felt like home to me. I work hard to make sure that our house is not only pretty but also functional and comfy for my kids. We don’t go out a lot, so our home is our haven and where we spend most of our time. It’s lived in and gets messy on a daily basis, but it’s filled with laughter, love and lots of memories already, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”

Oh my goodness I need to move in! Those baby goats are just too much! And the little piggies! Aaah! I’m in love. I think the only thing missing might be a miniature horse 😉

The refrigerator is by North Star. It’s a Canadian company but they sell to the US. The animals aren’t all babies anymore but I had these sweet shots of them in the house when they were so I had to share! Most of them do get along great! The dog isn’t allowed alone with the bunny unattended but she doesn’t bother her when they are together and we are around. She has a very gentle nurturing nature to her!! I hope someday all your animal dreams come true! They’re lots of work but also tons of fun and full of love!! Xo Lindsey

I can’t get over the sweetness of this house and family. Her gorgeous kids, her beautiful home, and those pets!!! How are people able to have pigs and goats as house pets?!
