We’re serious makeup addicts—the secret is out! There’s something about playing around with makeup that we find relaxing and it gets our creative juices flowing. Because of our obsession, we often look for new makeup storage ideas that are both cute and functional. While we own a few makeup bags, we realized that we didn’t have any clear bags. Clear bags come in handy when you’re traveling or even when you’re searching for a certain product. A transparent bag can be a lifesaver when you’re trying to find that ONE nude lipstick.
Now we couldn’t just let our clear makeup bag go untouched, could we? Of course we had to jazz it up! One of our favorite phrases is, “All I need is coffee & mascara,” because for us it’s entirely true! But feel free to use your favorite phrase or quote.
Supplies:
–clear makeup bag
–adhesive vinyl letters
–pom pom keychain
Now let’s talk about how it all came together:
Step One: Decide where you want your phrase to be on the bag. We decided to put ours in the center, but you could easily have it run along the bottom or even the side!
Step Two: Now you’re ready to start placing your letters on the bag. We found that is was easier to line each letter up if we looked at the words from the side. Also, don’t be worried that these stickers will fall off because they actually adhere really nicely to plastic!
Step Three: Once all of your words are in place, it’s time to add your keychain! We love soft touches of pink. So for our bag we opted for a pink pom keychain. You should definitely choose something that fits your personality!
Now you’re ready to transport your makeup in style! We love this project because it’s so easy to personalize and make uniquely yours. For that reason, this DIY clear makeup bag would also make a lovely gift. – Britta & Carli Garsow

The idea was nice! But i already have one, got it at roadeavour!
So cute and easy, and it works even for those of us of (ahem) more mature years! I substituted “lipstick” for “mascara,” because that’s how I roll, and I used a curly red ampersand from another sheet of letters instead of the plus sign. I love how it turned out!
