We love to hear your feedback, and in our recent reader survey, SO many of you asked for DIY projects that were more useful… more than just cute. So today I have an awesome idea to share with you—mini liquor bottle earrings! These little earrings can save any bad day. They’re my new tiny best friends.
Since statement earrings are so hot this year, I thought it would be fun to create a few pairs that are cute AND functional. They are also super affordable. Here’s how to make your own…
First, buy mini liquor bottles of all your favorite spirits. Next, tie gold ribbon or trim to your bottles, and then attach them to your earrings. Yeah—it’s a little painful, but not too bad.
And then you get to look cute like THIS!
You might think these are only useful for a night out on the town, but they are SO MUCH more than that. I think you could wear them pretty much anywhere… a boring piano recital, an awkward family gathering or a work party you didn’t want to go to.

No joke: In the 80s I wore mini Channel No. 5 perfume bottles as earrings. They were filled with real perfume and I wore them all the time! I still have them! Ugh!

Love the booze bottle earrings. Very funny. So had a look back at past April fool posts…was loving the ABM faux doco until the gun moment. It was a bit jarring and incongruent. Could be a cultural aspect that in Australia we have a less casual relationship with guns but it made me very uncomfortable. btw I’ve been following since red velvet days…
