If you've ever emailed the Red Velvet support box then you have probably already met me. I am the gal behind that email, and I've noticed that we get a lot of the same questions from time to time regarding our e-course catalog. And as the Red Velvet team has a few more e-courses coming your way this summer, I thought I would take a moment to answer some the most frequently asked questions.
How long do I have to complete the e-course? What are the deadlines like?
An e-course is different from an online class in that it does not have specific deadlines or schedules. Once you purchase, you will receive information that will allow you to access the e-course. The entire e-course! It is very much like an online book in that you can read through (and complete 'homework') at your own pace. So if you have a super busy schedule one week, don't worry the e-course will be waiting for you the next week. 🙂
I live in another country/time zone, will this effect my experience?
No. It doesn't matter where you live or if you purchase an e-course the day it comes out or six months later, all the information and sessions are immediately available to you once you purchase. And you can refer back to e-courses over and over again, as long as you keep your access information (username and password) for the e-course.
I just purchased an e-course, it's been about 2 minutes, why haven't I received my access information yet? The website said I would receive this automatically.
Yes, you should receive an email with a PDF file containing the specific url, username and password or an e-course automatically after purchase. Your email will only be sent once our Paypal has received your payment, so if your payment is still 'pending' for any reason there may be a slight delay. Also, if our system is receiving a number of orders at once it can take a few extra minutes for it to process your order. Or your email may have gone to your Spam box, or had some other technical error.
Once you order, please allow some time for processing and check your Spam box. If you still don't see your access information please let me know so I can get that to you in a timely manner. You can email me at: support AT redvelvetart DOT com.
My PDF file expired/states that I only have 3 clicks to use it in. Will I be locked out of the e-course after this?
No! We highly recommend that you refer back to your e-courses for months and months into the future to refresh on sections that particularly inspired you. The PDF files are designed to expire after a few uses because this is our way of trying to protect this private information from being shared with those who have not purchased. We worked hard on each and every one of our e-courses and we appreciate them being kept private. That being said, these precautions are NOT meant to lock-our folks who have purchased. Please write down, or save in a Word document your e-course url, username and password once you receive it. That way you can always refer back to the e-course even after your PDF file expires. But, should you find yourself locked out, simply email me with a copy of your receipt and I can get you the information you need. 🙂

i took the blog love e-course & loved it! i refer back to it time & time again… its packed with so many great ideas, prompts, pretty images, etc. the next e-course on my list would most likely be dream job, although since i just moved style your space could win out.

Wow! I have it on my wish-list to take the Dream Job e-course. I’m still young and starting college majoring in business, and NOW is the time I need to develop my ideas and plans, so in a few years once I am finished with college, I can go straight to my dream job, which is to own my own business. I want to open a shop similar to red velvet, a vintage store where I can go to my happiest place (being flea markets and thrift stores) and make profit from it, use all my quirky decorating ideas to decorate my store (since my apartment is too small for all my ideas of course) and keep the past ALIVE!
As aspiring business owner, I would totally choose the dream job course!

I love the way you all have set up your shop and even though I’m not doing a retail store (though I’ve put some serious thought into it) it still seems like it’d have a great basic structure to what I’m leaning towards.

As AMAZING as all the courses look, I have to say that the Style Your Space E-Course is probably the best for me at this moment. I’ve been living with my boyfriend and we’re working on little DIY projects and ways to make our rental more homey until we can afford a house!

I already followed the Blog Love course and I was totally inspired by it. At the moment my blog is still fairly new (still working on the design too… jikes), but I have an idea to what I want to do with it.
In july I will offically start freelancing. It are exciting times for me and I can’t wait to get started! I’ll mostly do illustations and invitations for baby showers, birth announcements and weddings. Maybe some webdesign on the side and some crafts, because I do love crafting. So I’d hope I would find the same kind of useful information in the Dream Job e-course as the information I found in the Blog Love course.

I’m torn between “Style your space” and “Retro beauty school”. My apartment and wardrobe are both a bit scattered!
I’d probably choose “Style your space” because it has such a great description. Do you plan to update the description of “Retro beauty school” to list each session? I’m wondering if it would be worth it for me because I am already an avid thrift shopper and my hair is too short for the tutorials. What I do need help with is developing my personal style and looking good on a budget.
