Hi there! Today we're excited to bring you a brand new Fashion Mixology. If you haven't read our mixology posts before, the concept is simply this- We take 8 pieces of clothing and make 8 different looks with those pieces. Shoes and accessories don't count. The goal of this feature is to inspire confidence and ideas to stretch your wardrobe farther! For today's edition we partnered up with Lulu's! They sent us some pretty pieces to mix and match. Enjoy!Look One/ Some of my favorite looks this season are made up of denim and chambray. This comfy dress with tights is super easy to wear. Look Two/ For a super casual day I pair skinny jeans with sparkly shoes and a scarf with a cute top!Look Three/ This lace tunic is super comfy and I love wearing it styled like this for a casual look. I also can't wait to wear it to the beach as a breezy cover-up! Look Four/ This striped skirt (see Look Eight) can also be worn as a dress! I love it paired with a skinny aqua belt and chunky necklace!Look Five/ I love a simple outfit with one crazy detail. These platforms are crazy by any account because they make me six feet tall. I'm into nautical inspired looks! Look Six/ This lace dress (also seen in Look Seven) is fun when layered with this cute lilac top from Look Two!Look Seven/ I adore this lace dress. It's really flattering with a low back. Layered necklaces and a felt hat help make this look special. Look Eight/ I adore this striped maxi skirt. Truth be told, I can't get enough stripes this year. My entire closet is becoming a huge black and white patterned collection! Because of my height (5'4) I never considered wearing long skirts until recently. I've learned that when paired with a comfy pair of heeled clogs maxi skirts can actually make me feel taller. I love any high waisted cut, so this is pretty perfect. We hope you've enjoyed this mixology! It's one of our favorite features to photograph together. Here are a few past Fashion Mixologys/ 1–2–3–4 xoxo. elsie

Elsie– I love your blog. Your fashion posts have inspired me to mix and match clothes that I would have never thought to put together. I’ve also been adventurous with colored tights because of you. Thanks for being such a doll and for all the amazing posts!!! xoxo christi
I love all your outfits – especially the one where the skirt is worn as a dress!
I love the mix and match posts. I never had thought of putting skirts over certain dresses to get a new look, before I saw you do it. I need that striped maxi.

You can find that Billabong Stipped dress/skirt at Tactics.com too!! 🙂
Elsie as much as I love the outfits, I have to agree, YOUR HAIR STEALS THE SHOW!!! 🙂 It looks great! I think I remember you said something about some kind of extensions on instagram. I am very interested in what you use, as extensions can cause such damage to your real hair. Could you possibly do a post? Some of us gals would love to know! Your hair looks amazing!
Your goal was accomplished because I am inspired to see what I can mix and match in my closet now (: I only recently started following your page and I love it! There are so many great DIYs and I want to try them all haha
Chambray has become one of my favorite fabrics to wear! It looks great with so much.
Outfits Three and Seven seem like they’re going to be perfect to transition from Spring to Summer!
How do you find all this great stuff?!

i love the skirt as a dress!
great outfits 🙂
xo, cheyenne
fave outfits are 4, 7 and 8. Love!!
Aaaaaah love all of these looks. And I think you’re right about the blood orange platforms–they completely change the look. It wouldn’t be the same with say, black shoes. And the white dress–LOVES it! The stripy skirt does work great as a dress too.
Great feature idea.
unbelievable how the long striped dress is extending in the lenght optical 🙂 great!!!
I love when you do this feature! I always feel inspired to make new looks out of existing items in my closet that have gotten a little boring 🙂

I’m also 5’4″ so avoid long skirts as I think they make me look dumpy – but after reading this, I think I’ve changed my mind. You definitely look taller in your pictures.

Thanks for all of these great new ideas!
