*sigh* i always feel so cozy after a little scrapbooking. tis the season, you know.

today rach, silje and i were supposed to be getting tattoos together. the artist was sick though so we had to reschedule for next week. i feel like i have an unexpected free day to catch up and it could not have come at a better time. i have so much to do, it's all so wonderful, but still… it will feel great to get a little bit more caught up. πŸ™‚ here is a peek at my studio today…. this will give you a good idea of the craziness (but also so much excitement) that is going on in my world right now….
"PLEASE FORGIVE THIS"

honestly, though…i'm not even embarrassed of it. i love it. i like to wake up and walk into my studio and it looks like a crazy world of papers and paints and supplies…. it's nice to have it tidy, but it's also very inspiring to let it be out of control at time. i enjoy….:)

and another little project i started last night…. my dad helped me paint this bench white (thanks dad!!). i suddenly feel verrrrrrry anxious about completing all of my little home decor projects and feeling totally "settled in". maybe it's the coming holiday, i am not sure. i just know that i want to work on things a little bit each day until my new loft feels officially complete (even it the feeling only lasts for a little while…). this project is a lot of fun to work on. i think i am going to add a cushion and call it done as soon as the buildings are painted. πŸ™‚

well, i am going back to work now. there is so much cuteness waiting to be created! early Christmas lattes for everyone! xo. els

  • i love your layouts sooo much! i can’t believe Vanessa dated Doren! tee hee! i love that your studio is messy, that’s how i like to work too! i think creative people are just born to be messy πŸ™‚ Awesome idea for the bench, i think hot pink for your cushion. Enjoy your free day!

  • wow! it sure is nice to know I’m not the only one with a messy work space! Thanks for sharing that photo, so fun!!

I love your latest scrapbooking btw, the feather on Rach’s photo is tooo cute. Love it. And that bench?! What an awesome idea with the city scape, you always amaze me!

Too bad you didn’t get tattooed today! I’m really looking forward to seeing them. πŸ™‚

  • What a wonderful mess! It looks like so much fun! And I love the color of your studio(we just painted our baby’s room that color and we LOVE it!).

  • elsie, your crafty space is fantastic!! on the rare occasion that i do get to be crafty (moreso now tho because of your fab class), my office looks quite similar.

i too love order and organization but i love having everything out while working so i’m not limited by only the supplies i might have pulled out.

what a fab scrapbook project that you did with Rach’s kit! love it!

  • You have a beautiful, creative, unique, wonderful, etc etc style. I love reading your blog. Rather, I love taking in your blog. The pictures speak so loudly for themselves! It’s great.

  • Do you crawl from one spot to the next when your creating? LOL! Well atleast your able to see what your working with.

I always loved the picture of you and Vanessa … whenever I see a rolled up straw roll I think of you and Vanessa. Your layouts look great. Welcome back to scrapping.

I kinda think you should paint the city scape on the bench with some colors. But it also looks good the way it is as well.

  • yay, you’re human!! mess=productivity!! love to see your scrappy pages again!! what kinds of tattoos are you planning on??? i didn’t know you were supportive of that! ROCK!

  • The scrapbookin’rocks, the studio looks like the inside of my head – only with better colors – and I can’t wait to see the finished bench buildings…it reminds me of Central Park …that’s how it looked in the sunlight today.

  • I love you chaos! And i love that your paintings remind me of the Powerpuff Girls. So under-rated.

  • I love love love that bench! I am obsessed with buildings and cities…I make collages of cities. I even have one called The Red Velvet Bakery πŸ™‚ The bench is SO cute that I want to paint a city on something now!!! You are so inspirational!! Hope Jeremy is doing well.

  • Oh my gosh, yayyy! I love seeing new pages from you πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

And your studio still looks beautiful πŸ˜‰

    Love the benches too!

  • Oh Elsie.. that art space photo looks like my bedroom only take out some light, add a bed, make the whole room smaller. I LOVE IT. *sigh* (your space, and mine. Makes me want to move to Missouri!)

my parents joke that i’m going to catch the house on fire with all the stuff I have in piles. πŸ˜‰

Glad to see you aren’t neglecting your blog just because we are having a fab online class. But since this is my last day off from school (I have classes Tues & Thurs), I was hoping to see more inspiration on the class site. πŸ™‚

All the same, I love you lots girl!

  • love love love that bench.

i’m in your class, but my life has been crazy busy. so i haven’t done ANYTHING yet. πŸ™ i’m excited to start it and i love reading about the projects.

    thanks for being inspiring.

  • I am soooooo jealous – I want a craft space like yours – mine is a desk in the spare room which has to be cleaned when ever any one visits.

    Love the pages.

soon you’ll have the tattoo and will be able to share… can’t wait to see!

    Love the bench so cute.

I am loving your class so far πŸ™‚

  • wow i could sit on that bench forever…at least i could when you get some cushions!! lol

    brilliant πŸ™‚

  • LOOOVE the bench and the layouts!! I have a thing for copying wood, like the papers you used for two fo your layouts πŸ˜› I tend to use it on almoust everything I make right now.. Thank’s again for the inspiration. going back to my “pyssel” (best swedish word for “crafting”) and to my own mess πŸ˜‰

  • oh. my. goodness! i love the pic of your studio today. as i look across the room to my own little *craftastrophe* i know i’m not alone. πŸ™‚

  • THanks for sharing the studio pic! THat room is not messy – you can cleary see the work stations laid out. Besides, if that room was always tidy, we might think you were a fake and have little trolls or elves doing all the work for yo! πŸ˜‰ – But I’m sure your back must be killing you! (if it’s not, it will be in a few years!) You should get some folding tables to spread around the room – garden ridge has them on sale right now – 39 each! I bought a couple and they have made the BIGGEST difference! Also, joanns has a great dropleaf work table on wheels – i have that too and couldn’t imagine my life with outit!

    Good Luck!

    Amy

  • I feel sooo much better! My work space looks worse right now! Sometimes when the creative engery flows my studio explodes! I have no idea where to start when it’s time to clean it up!

  • OH my gosh.

You make me want to go get scrapbooking right away.

Your papercrafts are so modern and sweet!

    I know what I’m doing this weekend…

  • i love the remember when layout it is so cute! I was feeling in a scrapbooking rut but looking at your pageI feel new ideas coming in! thank you

  • Love the scrapbook pages, especially the Do you remember? one. Love the messy room. And LOVE the bench. Please post another picture when it’s completed.

  • What a fantastic kit! I had always relegated scrap booking to ‘middle-aged-women-with-too-much-time-on-their-hands’ but DAMN! You have proven me very wrong! πŸ™‚

  • The studio looks fun! I love leaving my unfinished projects lying around so I can get straight back to it. Bad luck I don’t have a lot of room to do it though, I should have a clear out. Who needs a bed anyways πŸ˜€

Big hug & kiss from Molly and me πŸ™‚ xXx

  • I like that saying, thanks!
