Messy Bubble Ponytail

Messy bubble pony (click-throughf or the full tutorial) I’ve been playing around with different wet-set techniques to give myself some curls overnight. They’re great in theory, but some are a little trickier than others and can lead to some crazy morning hair. Which is annoying since part of the point of wet-sets are to save time in the morning! On this particular day, my hair curled in the front, but the back was almost completely straight. Ugh. But there’s nothing like a bad hair day to motivate you to try a new up-do. So I decided to work the weird texture of my hair into a messy bubble ponytail. It’s seriously so easy but can look really cool.Bubble ponytail (click-through for the full tutorial)Step One: Using a clear elastic, make a small ponytail on top of your head.

Step Two: Take a small section of hair on either side of your head and add it to your first ponytail and tie off with an elastic.

Step Three: Continue adding small sections of hair and tying them off. You want to add to the section before so that all of the ponytails are tied together.

Step Four: Stop when you reach the nape of your neck.

Step Five: Pull on each little section to make a bubble. It’s best to watch this step in a mirror to keep your bubbles even and avoid missing a section.

I highly recommend trying out this style if your hair is curly, or messy, or just being annoying one morning because it’s super easy, doesn’t take long, and I think the more texture your hair has the better it looks. You can play with this style and make it your own as well—maybe make a few less ponytails or smaller ones for a different look, or pull it apart more and pull out more pieces for an even messier look. It’s a good save for a bad hair day! Cheers, Rebecca.
