i am feeling so inspired today because of this new space. jeremy has been suggesting for months that i move the painting part of my studio downstairs so we can work together at night. i was reluctant at first because i have such a huge studio upstairs in my home and i didn’t want to separate my supplies. looking back, i don’t know why we didn’t do this sooner, though, because it’s perfect! i still have my whole upstairs home studio for crafts and we moved the painting stuff down here into a little area close to his piano and right behind the wall to the RVA shop. it’s cozy and sweet and i’m excited to start a new season here…..
here’s a new painting (in progess) today…. i’ll post more photos when it’s finished. i am really obsessed with painting in all black and white this week!

in other news…
-no party this friday for art walk.
we are gonna have a H U G E party for the September Art walk so we’re taking a break this time.
-collecting ghost and fawn figurines for this Halloween & Christmas. found the cutest ghost this morning.
-rachel and i are almost ready to announce details for our Autumn online class…. i’m more excited about this than ever. already have some of my projects done. it’s gonna be a fun one. 🙂
-obsessed with iced zen tea all of the sudden.

i’ve been reading your blog for quite some time and just wanted to give you more mad props for starting your own business and doing what you love and making everything so awesomely cute! i have an 11 month old daughter and i looove making stuff for her and can’t wait til she has more manual dexterity so we can do cuteness together. your blog/shop really inspires me to keep crafting and i plan to make a trip to springfield within the next 6 months to see your shop… keep it up!
