Puristry Organic Skincare

Today, I’m excited to introduce a new skincare line that I am loving: Puristry! This line is USDA certified organic and made in the USA. My first impression was that the packaging is lovely, and as I started to look at each product, I was super intrigued by the ingredients list.

I thought I would highlight the four products that most stood out to me from this collection:

Nopal Cactus Cleanser – This light, gentle cleanser is right up my alley. I love to do double cleansing (cleansing with oil for to remove makeup) and this is the perfect second step for me. One thing I really like about these products is that the scent is light, subtle and 100% from natural ingredients.

Flower Water Toner – Any kind of essence immediately gets my attention. I tend to skip toners because I worry about them being harsh, but this is the perfect fit for what I need in my routine! This toner is made with rose and calendula hydrosols, so it smells so nice. It is calming and gentle.

Seaberry Moisturizer – Deep down, we all want an anti-aging product that really performs. There are so many products out there that make claims, but are filled with harmful ingredients and artificial fragrance. I honestly don’t believe in anti-aging; I think it’s mostly a marketing gimmick … we all age! Instead, I choose to focus on products that benefit the health of my skin—especially the delicate skin on my face. This moisturizer is concentrated with seaberry fruit, which contains 50+ nourishing phytonutrients. I’m a huge fan of this product, both for its refreshing natural scent and its A+ ingredients list.

Yerba Mate Eye Cream – Any eye cream I’ve ever loved has a caffeine element to it! I’m already a fan of this eye cream, which I am currently using morning and night right before my face oil.

I hope you enjoyed this intro to a new brand you may not have heard of. I’m a fan and excited to see which of these new products will become staples in my routine over time.

Clean beauty is such a growing industry right now, with amazing brands popping up left and right! I would LOVE to hear what brands you’ve tried and loved and who you’d like to see included in our non-toxic beauty box.

Love you all. xx! Elsie

  • Yes! I love this series! It can be so hard to find good natural brands to try out, unless of course I’d like to fork out all of my money. Thanks for doing the hard work for me.

I have been using nearly all of K’Pure Natural’s products for about 2 years and am in love. Check them out!

  • This brand is totally new to me and I immediately adore the packaging too! It’s nice and clean and simple which conveys the ingredients well.

Something you said above got me:
” I honestly don’t believe in anti-aging; I think it’s mostly a marketing gimmick … we all age! Instead, I choose to focus on products that benefit the health of my skin—especially the delicate skin on my face. ”

So true! Instead of icky fillers and proprietary chemical compounds to temporarily “blur” the signs of aging, we should be focusing on the care and ingredients that benefit us. What a beautiful little tidbit to remember.

  • I would like to give it a try but I’m not a fan of auto delivery ????

  • Have you tried Blossom Kochhar ( http://shop.aromamagic.com )? I’ve brought a few of their products home from a trip to India and I love them (❤️???? strawberry face wash & ???????? carrot sunscreen). They smell heavenly (duh, it’s aroma therapy) and the scents are all natural. I’m so bummed that I can’t get them at home (Germany).

Also, my friend Mansi now has her own line of food-grade (!) skin-care ( http://manaste.com ) that I can’t wait to try out.

  • I’m currently having issues with my skin (turned 31 this January and in the last few months, I’ve had the “pizza face” of a teenager…….not fun when you’re a grown woman who’s had very minimal acne in her life). I recently saw a video where the hosts were getting allergy tested for their beauty products and it turns out, that a lot of the products out there have ingredients most people are naturally allergic too. So I’m guessing my new found “pizza face” is due to my skin changing as I age and it being less tolerable to ingredients in my products. All this to say, I’ve been looking for natural products to switch to and see if it has a positive effect on my skin so it’s nice to be introduced to something new that might be right up my alley.

  • Hello! I’m a beauty box subscriber, and I would love to experience more of Herbivore’s products in the box. I love the facial mist that was included in the box early on. Would love to see Pink Cloud, mini – oils (love these for trying and traveling), and Moonfruit included. Especially Pink Cloud. I’m totally intrigued. Also… would love to see tutorials using the makeup products included in the box to create a total look (like using the illuminators from last month, the creme shadow from this month, and maybe one of the lip colors (or any other combo!) to create a cohesive look, and learn to mix them into our routine. Loving the box overall! So good!

    • Hi Abigail!

We love Herbivore too — thanks so much for the feedback! You can find all of the archived Beauty Box tutorials that we’ve done for the unboxing videos on our Oui Fresh instagram (@ouifresh) , but love the idea of doing a full look as we have more makeup products! I would definitely say you can put the two tutorials from March and February together to make a really pretty, natural, glowy look.

Let us know if you have any other beauty request, so glad you’re enjoying the box!

  • Two clean beauty brands I LOVE are: Ursa Major — they’re mostly a men’s company but I use and love their Hoppin’ Fresh deodorant and their Essential Face Tonic every day. And Badger Balm — they’re super sweet, have super cute packaging, and I use and love their lip balms, Rose Face Balm, and Rose Beauty Oil. They also have the most amazing aromatherapy balms; I use the headache and stress soother all the time.

  • I have rarely used toners, but now I am love with them. Two in particular. My favorite is Klairs Supple Preparation Toner. The other is Pyunkang Yul mist which I think I will like better in the summer.
I have been doing the seven skin method…..well usually 3 to 5 and love it. I didn’t think I would but I have noticed a difference before layering serum on top. I have oily skin and acne prone but it is so refreshing and I have noticed a bit of difference on some fine lines. I mean not miracles but still.

  • Almost got some of these items on Anthro clearance, but hesitated bc I didn’t know much about the brand.

  • I tried this line when i saw it on clearance at Anthro. i’m curious, did anyone else have trouble with the pumps? none of them seem to work – the bottles are cute on my shelf, but not very functional. wondering if that’s why they were on clearance…
