Scrapbook Sunday: May Messy Box

Happy Scrapbook Sunday! This month, I’m using the May Messy Box to make a few scrapbook layouts. Opening my Messy Box every month is always so exciting, but I was in love as soon as I opened this one. The brunch theme is so fun! I love the little things that make weekends so special. So this kit was perfect for scrapbooking those little, special memories. My weekends usually include coffee shops, home projects, hiking, snuggling with Astro, and family dinners. Scrapbooking these moments are my favorite!

I started with the 3×3 journaling cards because they are my favorite to work with. I have been trying to make meeting friends for coffee a priority, so it was fun to capture my day at the coffee shop and my weekend routine with this page. I keep it simple with the cards and photos, but I added a few stickers to add some pink.

Hiking is another favorite weekend activity for me, so I made a page about that too. My family just went on a gorgeous hike and stopped at a cute coffee shop after. I’m always worried about messing up the journaling card with my handwriting, so I love using an old typewriter to add my journaling. It’s fun and I think it adds a cool look to the page.

When I opened my Messy Box and saw that wood veneer diamond, I knew I wanted to make a layout about my recent engagement at Disneyland. I decided to use the 9×12 paper and added four 4×4 photos. I added pink paper behind the wood veneer by tracing the wood piece and gluing the paper to the back. Then, I added Disneyland in cute letters. I love how this one turned out and it documents such a special memory for me!

The May Messy Box is so fun. It makes capturing the little things that make weekends special easy to scrapbook as well as the big life moments! What’s your favorite weekend routine? And what will you be scrapbooking with the May Messy Box? xo. Laura
