Sister Style: A Local Fave

Sister Style- Andy's Frozen CustardBehold! Everyone's favorite local treat… Andy's Frozen Custard. Even with a little snow left on the ground sometimes you just have to get your custard fix! We love how Andy's boasts seasonal treats including: pumpkin pie concretes, mint chocolate chip sundaes (made with Girl Scout cookies) and Askinoise chocolate toppings along with their classic flavors. It's good to be home and enjoying our favorite local treats after our mini work vacation to NY last week. Sister Style- EmmaSister Style- EmmaSister Style- EmmaEmma's Wearing: dress c/o StyleMint, black hoodie/H&M, leather jacket/thrifted, necklace/Camp&Quarry, purse/Dillards, shoes c/o Sole Society and sunnies c/o ModCloth

Have a lovely day! Emma + Elsie

  • LOVE Andy’s. When we go to Tyler, TX I always have to stop. ALWAYS. lol I love the pumpkin pie concrete (I love anything pumpkin, but then you add creamy custard to it…no words), but during other seasons I usually get a strawberry cheesecake concrete. So not good for you, but it’s so worth it especially since I don’t get to go there every day. lol

  • Oooo! That looks so yummy! I really love your dress, Elsie – that is just so adorable!

  • I love you girls. Reading this blog always makes my day!
I love your coloured tights elsie <3

  • I’m curious about Target. They’ve been opening a few stores in Canada lately and there’s one coming to my city soon……I wonder what it’s like?

  • Love everything about this, the ice cream and outfits! HA

  • i had to google what the difference was between frozen custard and ice cream! we don’t have frozen custard in the PNW that i’ve seen, it sounds good.

  • Yum! I have been to the Andy’s in Cape Girardeau. It reminds me of the frozen custard I grew up with in Rochester, NY called Abbotts.

  • I love ice cream in the winter! Special occasions like finishing laundry call for it!;)

Elsie- Your hair!!! I’m not sure exactly what it is about your ponytail but it looks amazing, and I love your bag

    🙂

  • The last time I was at Andy’s was just after I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 17, and I’ll be 20 in a couple of weeks. Way, way too long!

Funny you should feature them – I was just telling my mom that I miss Andy’s, and DC to Springfield is a bit too far of a trek for ice cream.

  • I have to agree with the first comment. You are your sister work so well together!

  • That sprinkly ice cream looks super good!! And I love the striped dress and orange tights 🙂

  • Hey,

it might be a bit off-topic here, but I just wanted to tell you that I saw a photo spread of the J&E wedding in a German crafts magazine today! (I forgot the name of it, though) I fell in love with the pictures all over again, it must’ve been amazing! I hope (and trust) that Emma & Trey’s wedding will be just as gorgeous as Elsie & Jeremy’s. Have fun planning it 🙂

  • Ah, I moved to Nashville from the Ozarks a few years ago, and this is one of those things that I’ve missed! The James Brownie Funky Jackhammer with chocolate custard is heaven!

  • Ahhh, you answered the debate my daughter and I had last night…is custard always frozen???? Bawahahaha!!!
And on another note, sparked by your beautiful polka dot dress miss Elsie, and I hope this isn’t inappropriate, but I’ve ALWAYS wondered how do you find clothes that fit your tiny waist and your ahem, top half? Do you have to alter everything??? It just seems that everything on your sister style posts fits you so well, just curious! thanks!

  • Love your outfits! And that custard looks toooo delicious!

  • The burnt orange tights make that outfit, Elsie! Also love the necklace that holds meaning- I’m a huge fan of jewelry that is more than just pretty. Makes me happy you guys update your site so often during the day- keeps me coming back!

  • Holy cow! I *almost* bought that same dress from Target! The only thing that stopped me is that my lifestyle is not suited to wearing dresses. It was so cute, though, that I almost got it anyway! If I recall, it has pockets, which is a huge bonus in my opinion.

Anyway, looking lovely as always, ladies!

  • Looks delicious, lucky girls! Elsie, I’m seriously loving your bag. I’ve been on the hunt for a new cross-body bag since I’ve worn mine to it’s grave. Beautiful!

  • I’m sure its such a blessing to be able to work with your best friend and sister! You two consistantly seem like you are loving life and working hard! Great role models 🙂
