The Red Velvet Shop turns 2!

I cannot believe it's been two years since we had our grand opening. There's a part of me that feels like it was just yesterday, and there's a part of me that feels like it was a decade ago. Does that mean I'm getting old? (Don't answer that.)

In the past two years Elsie and I have been lucky enough not only to live our dream but to watch our little business grow. I was just reading last year's shop anniversary post, and I'm now sitting here getting a little teary-eyed about Red Velvet. We love our local vintage shop. It has been a vintage shop for years and years now. We purchased the business from the previous owner who had worked there for a long time. She actually sold me my high school prom dress from what was then Nellie Dunn's (and is now Red Velvet). If you had told 18-year-old Emma she was going to grow up to own a business with her sister… well, actually, I probably would have believed you. I have always believed in my sister.

Many of you are a part of our shop story too. We've met so many ABM readers over the years who were passing through our town and stop at the shop. Thank you. It has been an amazing two years. We feel so blessed, and we are so excited for what the future holds. xo. Emma (and Elsie)
