We never expected to spend two months of our first year of marriage apart. It turned out to be a super healthy experience for both of us and now that we're together we are feeling closer than ever. While Jeremy was on tour we learned a lot about communication and kindness. We spent lots of time planning fun things that we want to do together and now we're playing catch up with lots of quality time. Life is good. :D

My hubby travels for work a lot, and even though I miss him SO SO much when he’s gone I feel like I appreciate the time we do have together so much more!

Wow, I really admire your ability to be apart for so long! My hubby and I literally do everything together, including working at the same school. I couldn’t imagine going a day without him let alone 2 months– kudos for being able to weather it and come out stronger!
My husband is about to leave for Germany for six months… I’m so upset, but I think it will be a good experience for us.

I totally understand long distance. In the beginning of mine and my husbands relationship, he lived in Chicago and I in CA for 9 months. It’s hard, but you learn amazing communication skills, because that’s really all you can do. The distance definitely strengthened our relationship and I’m sure it did yours too!

my husband works in another country, its hard but kinda keeps things fresh after 12 years. 2 months is quite a stretch ;( I can’t imagine being so clingy with someone you can’t spend a few days apart though, not healthy.

I love this! I spent the first two years of my relationship ‘long-distance’ and it teaches you so much. Space is understatedly important. You are both very stylish – this Ii believe to be very important too! It helps 😉
I know long-distance to a tee as I am with a French man and I am Canadian. Right now I am in France but we had to spend 3 months apart in our first year together and now we appreciate each other so much more. There will be more long-distance spurts in the relationship but that early one prepared us well!

Staying apart is not always bad. My boyfriend and I just moved to Holland together and now we live together, but I had never thought that I’d work office hours from Monday to Friday and he at night also in weekends. We barely se eachother, but when we do we have fun ideas and long talks about how our week went.
Of course sometimes it’s pretty sad..I can imagine you felt the same..didn’t you?
