Wedding Planning: Part 1

EngagedAfter finding out you are engaged, most people respond first by congratulating you, followed by a hug or high five or shoulder pat. That kind of thing. Then immediately after the warm wishes they say, "So, have you set a date yet?"

Holy cow, we actually have to PLAN A WEDDING NOW!

The moment that really set in, I think I panicked a little. I am over the moon excited to marry Trey. But it's hard not to feel just a teeny tiny bit anxious, when I think of all the planning that needs to happenβ€”not to mention all the decisions that have to be made. It's exciting and sort of terrifying all at once.Emma chapman's wedding colors!(Some paint my sister bought me. A few of our wedding colors. I love metallics!)

1. Set our date and booked the venues.

My first priority was to book the date. I felt like I could really start planning and making decisions once my date was confirmed. Our ceremony will be at a family owned spot, so the date for that was pretty wide open. But we wanted to have the reception closer to downtown (easy taxi access), so we checked out a number of reception venues in Springfield. Some didn't call us back. Some didn't have dates that worked for us. And one, that was absolutely beautiful, had too many restrictions that just couldn't work with our priorities. We had been hoping for an August wedding. But our favorite venue ended up only having one opening left, in early June. We took it! This cut my wedding preparation period down by almost two months, but it also means that I get to marry my best friend two months earlier than expected. So, net-net, I'm good with that.Emma and trey's save the dates(These are actually the second save the dates we made. Our first idea didn't end up panning out, but I LOVE how our second ones turned out. They feel very us.)

2. Confirm wedding party and guest list.

Next I wanted to invite some of my closest friends and family to be a part of our wedding day. Trey and I talked over how many people we wanted to include in the wedding party. We found we had an odd number (he has one more groomsmen than I have bridesmaids). Is this a problem? Will it seem odd or unbalanced? Should I freak out yet? For us, we wanted everyone who was important to us to be in our wedding party. And if our numbers didn't match up, well, whatever. Then I put together small gift bags with chocolate bars and nail polishes in our wedding colors to give to each of the ladies I was inviting. That was a really fun moment.

Next we started the process of putting together our guest list. We knew how many guests our reception venue could accommodate, so with that in mind we added up all the friends and family that we wanted to invite and obligate to buy us a gift (just kidding!!!). We tracked down addresses, and my future mother-in-law helped me address all our save the dates (in addition to creating a very organized excel spread sheet of all the guests that will be very helpful when it comes time to mail off invites and thank you cards). The internet said we should mail off our save the dates at least six months in advance. We mailed ours off with a little less than five months to go, and the world didn't end. Thank goodness.Tips for registering for gifts(Currently working on our gift registry. I've found a few tools online that help me keep it organized for guests.)

3. Registering for gifts, insure my ring and take engagement pictures.

I've had a couple of goals for this week. First was to start the process of registering for gifts. Between the two of us Trey and I really have a lot of stuff. We already have two of many things, so registering has been a little tricky. I am making it a priority to make sure we are registered for items that are spread across many different price points, keeping all our guests in mind. And I want to make sure we are only registering for things that we really want or need. It's harder than I thought! Thank goodness for my shopping savy sister (and maid of honor). πŸ™‚

Last week I went into my insurance office to get my engagement ring insured. (Emma, did you just mention insurance because I think I just fell asleep.) I decided to add it on with my home insurance, so the process was as simple as bringing in my appraisal papers and saying, "Sign me up." Done and done.

This week we also found time to take engagement pictures. We were lucky enough be able to book Sarah of Arrow and Apple to be our wedding photographer. Yay! Love me some Sarah. She and her husband Josh are in town this week, so we fit in a few engagement photo sessions. I'm stoked to share some of those with you soon.Emma chapman and trey georgeWe are slowly checking things off and I'm getting more and more excited, as we are only around 100 days away from getting married! Next up I'm excited to share about catering plans, finding the balance between DIY and not trying to do everything, choosing bridesmaid dresses, planning my look for the big day, etc. Thanks for letting me share! xo. Emma

  • Beautiful ring, beautiful colors! Thank you for taking us along for the ride. The DIY but not trying to do everything article I am really looking forward to. I imagine it would be an interesting comparision to look at your current DIY list vs. after the wedding, looking back.

  • I’m strongly suspecting that you and I might be getting married on the same day. Mine’s also early June and exactly 100 days away!

I’ve found that when you’re crafty, it really is hard to find the balance between DIYing everything and not. I’m making my own dress, and my family and I are DIYing the centerpieces for the reception. One of my good friends drew artwork and helped me design the invitations. And it’s very hard for me to avoid the temptation to instantly think I can just make something else myself if I’m having trouble finding what I want!

  • I’m so glad you are sharing your wedding planning journey with us! I am planning a two part wedding in Argentina but I live in New York so it has been kind of tricky so far. I’m trying to relax and hope that everything will fall into place. I’m looking forward to see your inspiration for the wedding and get inspired too!

  • I’m getting married in August and we also have uneven groomsmen and bridesmaids. 4 guys and 3 girls. We were totally ok with it – others are a bit confused… I didn’t want to pick a 4th girl just because I had to. We also didn’t pick a best man because my fiance didn’t want to choose between his 3 close friends (4th is my brother). Just because things have been done a certain way for so long doesn’t mean they have to stay that way.

  • How exciting I have helped plan three weddings in the last 18/12 thank goodness I only have three daughters – they were all amazing weddings and all so different. Have fun planning x

  • CONGRATULATIONS! Don’t be anxious, I am 1000% sure you ‘re gonna plan evething to be PERFECT, being so talented and crafty. Wishing you the best!

  • Apologies because this is a long post, but I wanted to share with you how my husband and I set up our registry. Like you guys, we had plenty of stuff already, and it’s also impossible to get packages delivered to a Brooklyn brownstone when nobody is home during the day. Instead, we set up our own honeymoon fund using PayPal and these instructions:
    1. Set up blog site, where you’ll post items.
    2. Set up a PayPal account and link your bank information.
    3. Go to β€œMerchant Services” from the top menu.
    4. Click β€œBuy Now Button” on the Merchant Services Page to create a button.
    5. The world is your oyster. Think of something fabulous, and create a button for it by naming your button based on the item you want.
    6. If you want multiple price options or multiples of similar items, leave the price box blank and select β€œAdd drop-down menu with price/option”.
    7. If you don’t like the credit card list under the button, select β€œCustomize text or appearance” and de-select β€œDisplay credit card logos”. You can also make the button smaller, if you like the look of it better.
    8. Click β€œCreate Button” at the bottom.
    9. On the next page, select the code and copy it.
    10. Go to your blogspot page to create a new post. Click on HTML formatting. Paste the code into the blogspot post under HTML. This is where you also add a photo of your item.
    11. We had WeddingWire, so this part might be different. Add the β€œRegistry” app/page in WeddingWire.
    12. Click on the β€œRegistry” app, and at the bottom it says, β€œAdd A Registry”. On the next page, scroll to the bottom for the tiny link saying β€œDon’t see your registry? Add your own.” Paste the link to your blog in the pop-up window.
PayPal does take a percentage like many honeymoon websites, but it was a lower amount. Good luck! Enjoy the planning process!

  • Oh, I remember planning my wedding! It was a little stressful, but also fun! Everyone was willing to help. Sounds like you are getting everything ready in good time! So happy for you and Trey!

  • Aww! I’m so glad you are sharing this! I got married last August! It was a beautiful month! But I hope June is as perfect for you πŸ™‚ I was almost driven to shock when I was first asked about the date lol… We were still at the bed and breakfast where he proposed… We had no wedding planning yet!

I thought the whole wedding planning process was kind of funny. It was so not stressful for us. It was pretty hilarious to see the difference between the two sides of the family too… My husbands parents were very organized and did things in advanced. My parents and I, not so much… we just did a few things a week and figured it would fall together in the end. I’m pretty sure we didn’t have a final guest list for our side till the day before I addressed invitations (I didn’t do save the dates. we sent an email for some easy money saving)

But it truly is an amazing and exciting time of your life! Enjoy! Can’t wait for the next post πŸ™‚

  • Congratulations! I got engaged just a few days after you, we’re waiting until next February 2014 for financial reasons though.
Happy planning! I’m diving in hardcore in March to planning ours.

  • Love this!!

    If anything check out

    apracticalwedding.com

I suggest this site to EVERYONE who is getting married.

    Seriously. best site ever.

  • Although it sounds like you’re organized with spreadsheets of addresses, etc. I found the Martha Stewart Weddings website super useful for tracking invites, thank yous, and their app-type-thing for creating a floorplan and seating plan is AMAZING. I’ve used it both for my wedding reception and to plan the floorplan layout of a small collectors’ convention. It’s pretty great.

Have fun with it all. It goes by faster than you know!

  • This post is so exciting! Can’t wait to hear more about this busy and beautiful process.

  • you sound a lot like me when i planned my wedding. i only had 7 months to do it, and so it was hit the ground running for us! but it went off without a hitch, and i learned the value of flexibility and prioritizing what is the most important to me. yours will be wonderful!

  • Hey Emma! Congrats!

I too am planning my wedding at the moment, and have been inspired by ABM to create my own wedding blog! I first cam across ABM just before Elsie got married and have been obsessed since.

Like you, i’m big into DIY and crafts and am planning on doing as much of my wedding prep myself as possible.

Living in Northern Ireland, which has a suprisingly lively alternative and vintage scene, I just love your blog for fashion/ home/ lifestyle inspiration! But i’m totally jealous of your location!

Anyway good luck with all the wedding planning, i look farward to geting inspiration from you about this now! here’s a link to my wedding blog if you want to check it out, it’s early days but a lot of fun! http://www.peaandcarrotgetmarried.blogspot.co.uk/

All the best from Ireland, Lindzi x

  • Congratulations!! It’s easy stressed by the details, but you’ll look back on it as such a precious time so soak it up. I wish I could do it again! xo

  • Emma (and Trey) I love the colors board you chose for the “big day”. Can’t way new posts about it!
    Claudia

  • My brother just proposed to his girlfriend, and they have a place and time…6:00 in the morning with a 20 minute walk to the place the ceremony will be.
    I will die.

    Love the blOG!

  • such an exciting time for you! and i think it’s totally fine to have an uneven number of people in your wedding party! looking forward to seeing your planning πŸ™‚

  • have you heard of http://www.honeyfund.com ?
my husband and i signed up for it when we got married and it helped us pay for our awesome honeymoon! good luck with everything, and remember to just have fun…it will be the perfect wedding b/c of who you are marrying. πŸ™‚

  • This sounds so exciting! I can’t wait to hear more about the planning and seeing your photos. Being a bit OCD as soon as I read you were having an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen I started to panic, but its not my wedding! Good luck, I’m sure everything will go perfectly x

  • Planning our wedding was so much fun for me. Try your best not to stress! I’m loving the metallic color scheme. Also, at the risk of sounding like a stickler for accuracy, since Elsie is married, isn’t she technically the Matron of Honor? πŸ™‚

Best of luck in all the wedding preparations!

    -Erin

  • This is a fantastic list! My sister got engaged this week and although I planned my own wedding just about a year ago, I need all the tips I can get to help her!

  • You two are so cute together. Your wedding is going to be so amazing. You have such great style. Make it what you want it to be. It’s your day!
Don’t stress about the little details. Be present during the planning and especially on that day. If you are too busy thinking about if everything looks right, etc, then you will miss out on soaking up every little moment of that day and that is something you don’t want to mess. I always want things to be just so but I did what we could, enjoyed doing it, and then let it all go on our wedding day.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our wedding. We just had fun!
That was the best advice we got.

  • Congratulations!

I’m so glad you shared this! I’m recently engaged and feeling a bit anxious to start the planning. Anywho, I’m looking forward to any tips you share along the way. ^.^

  • congratulations! beautiful photos and best of luck in the planning. i bet it’s going to be amazing.
    kw ladies in navy

  • Yay! Getting our venue booked was such a huge hurdle, that it’s taken me weeks to get back on track with my planning. :-/ Glad to hear your momentum is alive and well and things are going smoothly!!!!!!!

SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND TREY. (He is super lucky to get you.)

  • Sounds like you have everything in order. I have some advice from planning my wedding

    1. Keep a cheap, tiny notepad in your purse for random thoughts while out and about. I used mine to compile a list of songs I love for the DJ. You have no idea how often I’d be somewhere, like the Dollar Tree, and think “Dang! I NEED this song to be played!”

    2. Having uneven parties just means one of the guys gets to look like a ladies man, with 1 gal on each arm. We almost had the same thing because one of my maids was pregnant and due the day after the wedding. Luckily the little one waited a few days but she actually come to the wedding with a hospital bag!

    3. Do what you can and don’t stress about the remainder. The truth is, on the day of you are the only one who will notice wrong details or missing things. Don’t let them ruin such a wonderful day that flies by faster than what you can prepae for.

    4. If you can afford an item you feel is a splurge but you really would like, talk yourself into it. I wish we would have had a videographer and a photo booth (the latter has been an obsession of mine since elementary school and was also a dream of mine to have at my wedding).

    5. If you can’t think of things to register for, consider suggesting that people donate some of your favorite charities. We did this instead of a registry in total and most of our guests were very generous with the orgs!

    Happy planning!

  • Yay! I’ve been waiting with bated breath for you to share about this process! I love wedding planning. πŸ˜‰

Don’t worry too much about having an uneven bridal party BTW, your photographer (who is amazing, love arrow and apple) can choose poses that fit an uneven group and what’s most important is having the people you care about the most stand up with you! I’m thinking me and my boy will have an uneven party, he has 3 and I have 3, but we just decided we want to include his sister who is 8 years younger then us!

  • My hubby & I had everything that we needed as well, so we opted to register for our honeymoon through Traveler’s Joy! It was so fun to come up with creative gifts like magazines for beach reading, bottles of celebratory champagne, or our favorite thing in the world – brunch, then have our friends & family “gift” us our ENTIRE honeymoon in Mexico! We were so grateful for the amazing & unforgettable experience that we would not have had otherwise!

  • Oh, I’m so excited for you guys! I just got engaged, as well, and am wrapped up in booking photographers, figuring out food, booking the florist, asking attendants and adding, adding, adding to the guest list. So busy, but also so much fun!

Blessings on you guys in this time!

    ~Emily

  • Yay! I got engaged two weeks after you and I have been hoping you would share the planning process! THANKS!

  • Emma- how wonderful! Congratulations and THANK YOU for sharing! My fiance and I are also getting married in June- all told, we will be engaged for 10 months…Motivation & starting early are key! Good for you. I can’t wait to hear more about your plans πŸ™‚

  • This is so exciting! I will get married next year but can’t wait for the planning to begin! Thanks for sharing!

  • Congratulations!! Wedding planning really is so much fun… it seems excessive especially since we’re planning for just ONE day, but it truly is one of the best days of your life that you will remember forever.

    Have fun!!

    Christy
    Sunnywithasideof…

  • I am so excited for you! I am in the process of planning my wedding and will be getting married the month before you! So looking forward to mirroring your journey!

  • Congratulations! Wedding planning is the most fun and stressful thing ever. This past summer both my sister and I got married one month apart, and I ended up doing a ton of planning and DIY for both. One thing to always remember – if things go wrong, it might seem like a big thing at the time, but it makes for great stories later.

For my first wedding, my husband and I, in all of the craziness, forgot to get the marriage license, and the officiant had to say something generic at the end like “let’s all congratulate the new couple!” because he couldn’t legally pronounce us man and wife. No one noticed, and we officially got married the next day with my sister witnessing in a diner over coffee and rolls. See? Disaster at the time, funny as hell after the fact.

Good luck, and don’t forget the license!

  • I got engaged at the same time as you Emma (and am marrying it sounds like only a week or two later), so I am really enjoying reading this. Especially the realization of how many days it really is! Good luck with everything. Can’t wait to read more.

  • What an exciting time! When I got married at the end of 2011 I did a lot of the stuff myself. Well, I should say all because the only things I didn’t do were the catering and the cake. That would have been hard – ha! Anyway, good luck and congrats!

  • This is so exciting to read. Even when being single and absolutely not marrying any time soon, I love updates like this! Thanks for taking us on the journey with you guys! Wishing you both all the luck and best in the world! πŸ™‚

  • Such a great attitude… and I LOVE your writing style… I always feel like you are talking directly to me! ha

  • This is exciting. My good friend is getting married in June as well and I am her long-distance support person. Well, bridesmaids etc are not necessarily a thing in Europe. So, a support person sounds like a thing. LOL. So I am extra excited to follow all your planning. Good luck! I am sure it will be a fabulous day.

    xx Kaisa

  • Congrats!

My wedding was… 6 years ago! My god, time goes too fast…
We did a very simple and homely wedding, we both do not like being protagonist… It was a civil ceremony, i did not wear a wedding dress, the menu was very normal… the important thing was to have all our family and friends with us that day

  • I rarely comment anywhere. I always enjoy your posts, including this one. I just want to say, although wedding planning is lots of fun and stress (in varying amounts), don’t forget to focus on the actual marriage, not just the wedding. You seem like a really sensible person and probably already know this, but a lot of people get so distracted by the wedding that they forget to actually prepare for the marriage itself, and all that entails.

That said, I wish I’d had a much time as you to plan my wedding. My fiance was in the military, and we didn’t know exactly when he’d be home until a couple of weeks beforehand.

  • You can do it! My husband and I planned our wedding in four and half months and everything was perfect! I made all the decorations, my husband made the invitations, I made my wedding dress and my mom did ALL the catering and and the cake. It was so cheap yet personal. My one piece of advice is to put together a very detailed binder of how-to’s for a particular person you want to be the “Queen/King of decorating” on the day of your wedding. That’s what I did and there was no confusion and the set-up went amazingly smooth. Good luck!

  • How exciting to be planning your wedding!! And don’t worry too much about the time, I am sure you will get everything done and it will be perfect! We planned ours in less than 2 months!! Congrats to you and your guy!!!

    xoxo,
    Shio

  • we are grateful that you ares sharing, not only because it is amazing to share this moment with you (hey it’s weird but although you probably don’t know the most of us, we’ve been following you for YEARS now, it’s just that crazy… may be you want to close this blog too after this comment πŸ˜› ) And also, you are a practical person, it’s really nice to read the cool organized way you put things up here. I hope one day i’ll be getting married and this will be helpful, for now i just think it’s amazing to having you doing this. And of cours, can’t wait to see you in your bride gown!! πŸ˜€

  • Good luck, Emma! I just went through this process and was [successfully] married last July πŸ™‚ My husband and I decided to do a honeymoon registry since we are traveling abroad for the next few years. We registered with http://www.travelersjoy.com and went on the honeymoon of a lifetime in Bali. Have fun planning, don’t forget to live in the moment, and I can’t wait to see pictures! xo

  • SO happy for you. And I really cant wait to see all of your plans and PICTURES πŸ™‚

    Good luck with everything…

  • I don’t know if anyone else mentioned this yet, but you should go on theknot.com. We found it really helpful for keeping organized!

  • This is incredibly timely for me! I am literally at that stage of just got engaged…what now?!

    Super informative and helpful! Thanks!!

  • One tip that i can give you regarding the wedding registry, Dont do it to early. Sometimes you see something you like and put it on your registry and then 3 months later when your guest by your gift (normally the week before the wedding) most of the stock will either be sold out or changed for the season. Happened to n good friend of mine and they end up with only half of sets ect. Enjoy the planning it is ALL WORTH IT! =]

  • I totally get where you’re coming from. I’m only recently engaged and while it’s been lovely celebrating with people it only recently sunk in that we’re going to get married. I saw a dress I liked in a shop recently and when they asked if I wanted to come in and try it on I freaked a little. My mother in law to be who I was with at the time panicked and asked if I was getting cold feet, when in fact it wasn’t that, it was the fact that I was getting married soon and I am going to have to start making some BIG GROWN UP decisions!!

We’re not getting married until next May so we’ve got a bit longer than you guys, but really looking forward to reading all your wedding planning posts! Like you said, so exciting and terrifying at the same time! x

  • Wow… that stone on your hand….love it…… also the nailpaint with chocolates idea….beautiful <3

  • I got engaged on new years eve just gone and I’m not getting married until June 2014! Or at least that’s the plan, we’re struggling to set a date as we’re getting married in our home town and we’re both 200 miles away from it at university/work so planning is still a little slow. Good luck getting everything planned in six months! I’m really enjoying the beginning bits of planning though, just getting loads of ideas together is really exciting. Can’t wait to read more about yours. Do it your way and it’ll be amazing!

  • I’m looking forward to see what you plan to do for your wedding. By the way I didn’t have the chance to congratulate both of you for your great news !
    Love from France.

  • So exciting!! I am 2 months away from my wedding! I have turned planning into a giant art project πŸ™‚

Quick word of advice (I’m sure you are smarter than I was, though)…have a remote backup for everything you do on your computer. Our house was burglarized a few weeks ago & my laptop was stolen. I lost EVERYTHING pertaining to our wedding. All my ideas, DIY Illustrator files, spreadsheets, etc. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it was quite a setback & now I’m really unorganized & trying to recoup :/

  • Do you really need more than 3 months to organize a wedding? Don’t think so πŸ™‚ If you have one year, you do most of the work in those 3 months.

And for us, the first point on the list was to make a design review and discuss what we both wanted in a wedding as in number of ppl, food, drink and dance, atmosphere, etc.

  • I love your ring. Do you mind posting a little more about it? Or have you already done that? It looks like my dream ring more or less. What is the setting and shape? Is it just an oval? I like the band too.
Thank you and Best wishes on your nuptials! πŸ™‚

  • Two things.

One. That Martha Stewart Copper Penny metallic glaze was a star in my wedding. It went inside of glass vases for some centerpieces, onto certain spots of the buffet that I refinished for our altar, all over my hands and face in the pre-wedding crafting…love it. x10.

Two. Having an extra groomsmen is perfect! That way Trey’s best man can walk out with him in the beginning and give him little pep talks or fist bumps or whatever it is they do up there, and then every girl still gets a fella for walking. Win.

  • My husband had one more groomsmen than I did bridesmaid.

I had the guys wait at the altar/chuppah for us. Then after the ceremony I had two of my girls double up on the last groomsmen. It worked out fine and didn’t look weird. It will be the least of your worries the day of your wedding and it won’t make a dent in your wedding pictures. and who cares its your day!! πŸ™‚

  • My fiancee and I are in the process of planning a wedding and we are almost in line with your timeline perfectly! Glad to know I’m not the only one getting things checked off the list. Sometimes it feels quite daunting a task… but being surrounded by incredibly creative and loving people has made the process so much more fun. Congrats!!!

  • Congratulations! You sound like you have got things way under control! Best thing to always keep in mind is that you are starting a new life with your husband! Focusing on that will keep the planning less stressful!

  • I so look forward to reading more about this wedding, AAAAHHH! It’s going to be so beautiful, i just know it! Thank you for sharing.

  • Oh how fun!!! Enjoy this time, you deserve it πŸ™‚ Besides the birth of my baby girl- our wedding day was SUPER! You seem like a laid back person and that is such an excellent quality to have as a bride πŸ˜‰ I promise you, nothing, and I mean NOTHING else matters on that day besides the love of your husband and your friends and family. I was married one week after a horrific tornado 2 years ago in May (in a town not far from you πŸ™‚ and absolutely everything had to be changed last minute- this did not matter though because we were overjoyed to have each other and the ones closest to us – though many friends had lost every possession. It was perfect. We had each other. Napkins and registries and decorations are icing on the cake πŸ˜‰ but in the end- none of that matters. So have fun with it, dont stress and remember everyone is there for you! Best wishes you both!

  • I just got married last June and I have to say I wouldn’t do anything differently. We added a lot of special touches that made the day very personal to us and I made a lot of things for the day myself. Enjoy the process – it’s so much fun and you’ll miss the planning when it’s over.

  • Congratulations and loving hearing about the wedding planning! Can’t wait to see what it all looks like. Loving the metallics (I’m in the process of writing a post about metallic weddings!) I don’t think it matters at all if you have an odd number of bridesmaids to groomsmen, what matters is that you have the people you care about there with you! My husband had 6 groomsmen and I had 4 bridesmaids and I don’t think it looked odd at all – you can take a look and see what you think http://amysbuttonbox.wordpress.com/about/our-wedding/ . As for the DIY I loved doing the DIY bits for my wedding and I think I found just the right balance, ultimately you have to do as much or as little as is right for you – but I think with all the crafty people in your life I’m sure you can delegate a few tasks! Good luck with the rest of the planning! xx

  • So excited for you! I am getting married in October and I just recently knocked out a bunch of stuff, our florist, our caterer and alcohol provider and all our save the date stuff we are making by hand. It is nice getting a lot of stuff out of the way and is also stressful sometimes. I hope your planning goes smoothly! πŸ™‚

  • I think, it is really difficult to get a balance between DIY and finding someone to help.

DIY is interesting but it takes time. Getting someone to help will probably cost you money.

At the end of the day the balance is actually between time and money…..

  • Still so excited!! I’m always available to be that extra bridesmaid if ya need πŸ˜‰

  • For one of my friends’ weddings, they had one extra groomsman, so the best man stayed out with the groom at the altar instead of walking down the aisle — it worked out well (and provided some extra moral support! :] )
